I always saw them as an lazy way to show how powerful a character is. Also, it generated a lot of debates about people trying to put power levels in Dragon Ball pre-Raditz, what simply doesn't work. Safari Favourite Manga DragonBall/Z, Naruto, Death Note, Yugioh!	-I would keep the multipliers as it is actually they all work fine with me, except SSJ2 I would make it 4x times SSJ. -I would lower the gaps in the Frieza arc, they have a lot of strange thinks happeneing there: Vegetas huge Zenkai. Gokus plot Zenkai to keep up with Frieza. Krillin and Gohan's massive increase. -And so wthing else I can think off, the Buu arc gains. We saw Charatcers in the show making literally HUGE gains in some few days, and yet we see Goku and Vegeta after 7 years of the most intense traini h sessions barely getting a 2x increase, that's so wthing I didn't really like much .
